After teaching in his native USA for 3 years, Mike has been teaching internationally for the past 16 years in Venezuela, Honduras, Macau, Burkina Faso, and China. He joins NISC after 3 enjoyable years in Hangzhou, China.
He has taught a wide variety of subjects and levels (English, Drama, Technology) and loves teaching upper Primary students. Mike believes in making his classroom a fun and lively place where kids are eager to learn.
Outside of the classroom, he loves playing music in bands, shooting photos, and playing sports. He is also a devoted/obsessed Chicago sports fan.
He is joined at NISC by his wife, Erika, who is a Pre-K teacher, and his son, Conor, who is in the 8thgrade. Mike and his family are super excited to be joining the NISC family and are looking forward to exploring the wonders of Cambodia.
