Donal O’Connell

Northbridge International School Cambodia - Donal

Geography and History Teacher, TOK and EE Coordinator

Donal has been a teacher for 12 years and has formerly taught in Thailand and Chicago, USA. 

  • Bachelor of Arts, University of Wisconsin at Madison
  • Master’s in Education and Social Policy, Northwestern University
  • Teaching certification from the State of Illinois, USA

Donal came to teaching late, having had two successful careers before returning to Northwestern University to earn his Master’s in Education and Social Policy.

He enjoys challenging his students to apply their thinking in Geography and History to help solve the global problems facing the world today. 

Donal is married to Kate O’Connell, a Board member of Compass Education. He has two small children, DJ and Alanna, and in his free time enjoys reading, playing and watching sports as well as spending time with friends.
