Northbridge International School Cambodia - Peter

Mathematics Teacher

Pete’s first degree is In History & Economics. He then spent a year retraining as a maths teacher after gaining his PGCE. He taught maths in London for 25 years, and started teaching internationally in 2009 in Jordan.

  • BA Hons (History & Economics), Keele University
  • BSc (Mathematics), Open University
  • MA (Education), Open University
  • Post-Graduate Certificate in Education, Keele University
  • DES Conversion to Secondary Maths, West London Institute of Higher Education

After teaching 25 years in London mainly as head of department and a senior teacher at two schools, I combined my love of travel with my enjoyment of teaching maths by going international. Since Jordan I have also taught in China (twice), Thailand and France.

Outside the classroom I enjoy travel, chess, mountaineering, skiing, canoeing, cooking, reading crime fiction and travel adventures. I hope to share my enjoyment of chess and recreational maths with youngsters in after school clubs at NISC.
