Patrick will attend the University College of London, known affectionately by its initials, U.C.L. Patrick will join one of the most famous names of universities in England to study Mathematics with Economics. On this course, he will pursue higher mathematical topics such as analysis and linear algebra. Naturally, this will be supplemented by furthering his knowledge of Economics.

Patrick is a truly international student. His mother is originally from China and his father is from Germany. He speaks German and English fluently and is reasonably fluent in Chinese and French too. When he speaks English, you would immediately assume he was born in England. In addition, he has lived a number of years in Germany, England and, at the moment China. So, Patrick is definitely a global citizen.

Since his arrival at Léman, Patrick has always been an active participant in school activities. Patrick could always be relied upon to have an opinion to give in student debates in class and as such this made him an ideal leader in many activities in the school. Perhaps one of his greatest achievements was in student voice where he represented the opinions of students for a number of years on the Student Council.

More recently, Patrick has been involved in the preparation of the student magazine known as “Lemanade.” Moreover, like many of his peers, Patrick has demonstrated his team work skills as a member of the school’s many sports teams and especially Volleyball and Football.

Throughout the Diploma Programme, Patrick developed a keen interest in Economics so it is not surprising that it will provide a significant part of his chosen degree at University.

We wish Patrick well with his future studies and we hope he will be able to find some time to enjoy living in one of the world’s most vibrant cities.
