Léman International School is an IB world school for the MYP. The MYP curriculum is summarized in the image below:

The MYP is designed for students aged 11-16. It is a programme designed to support the student as they transition through a period of significant personal, social and physical change.
The MYP provides a holistic education. Students are expected to become aware of the relevance of their learning and view knowledge as an interrelated whole. They are expected to see the similar and complementary aspects found in various disciplines or fields of study, but not to the detriment of learning within each of the disciplines, which retain their own objectives and methodology.
The MYP emphasizes intercultural awareness. Intercultural awareness is concerned with developing students’ attitudes, knowledge and skills as they learn about their own culture and the culture of others. By encouraging students to consider multiple perspectives, intercultural awareness seeks to go beyond fostering tolerance to develop respect and empathy.
The MYP emphasizes communication. Communication is fundamental to learning as it supports inquiry and understanding and allows student reflection and expression. The MYP places particular emphasis on language acquisition and allows students to explore multiple forms of expression.
The MYP values an inquiry based process, where students learn more about themselves by exploring their interests. During Y9, students will complete a Community Project to help the school or their local community. During Y11, students will complete a Personal Project about a topic they are passionate in exploring. Both projects are a year long process, through guided learning, they will complete an extended report and presentation to the school community. The Personal Project is required to complete the MYP and is an integral part of the programme.
