MIT Cellfie Life Challenge at the Toddler Center

As one enters the Civic Patio, one is immediately surrounded by the bustling sound of learning. Elementary students have joyfully made the whole campus theirs, and they are bringing their young, happy voices into areas that they had not explored before.

Walking in the hallways of our school is an adventure. In just a few meters, you may witness small groups collaborating on a joint project, reading buddies helping each other as they decode a story together, a teacher working one-to-one with someone who is struggling, some children singing and dancing while others are building a model during quiet time; and lots and lots of laughs.

Rose Winter, Head of Early Years Learning and a nursery school teacher (ages 2.5 - 4) at the British International School Bratislava, is often asked by parents “what did my child learn today?” Her reaction? “Where do I start?”

When a school’s processes and operational activities are integrated coherently, they facilitate smooth academic organization and functioning. Keeping these processes running effectively requires a combination of technological tools and well-designed strategies.
