Marc started his international career in 1992, teaching French in Louisiana, and took his first IB teaching assignment at HIS, Hanoi in 1998.
He then moved on to international schools in Beijing (BISS) 2000-03, Colombo (OSC) 2003-05, Brussels (ISB) 2005-2010 and Mumbai (ASB) 2010-2017, before returning to China, to Shanghai American School. In addition to French, K-12, Marc has taught Spanish, German, English, Humanities and TOK.
Marc is also extensively involved with the International Baccalaureate. He is a Principal Examiner from DP French B and an examiner for TOK. He is a workshop leader for Language B and TOK and has been involved in DP Language Acquisition curriculum review, examination setting and workshop development.
Marc is married to Toni Hewett, also an international educator. He enjoys cooking, playing loud guitar in blues and rock bands, as well as taking travel pictures around Asia, his home for almost 20 years.
