Léman International School Chengdu (LIS) welcomes students from Pre-Nursery to Year 13 on its 50 acre campus.
Our Primary School implemented the English National Curriculum for Maths, English and PE. This is integrated with the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), currently used in 1000 schools in 65 countries, to give a thorough educational experience throughout Primary. The Secondary School, from Year 7 to 11, is based upon the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme, with Year 12 and 13 based upon the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programmme. We offer foreign languages including Mandarin and French. Korean is also offered to its native speakers.
The school has world class facilities on an extensive campus including fully equipped modern classrooms, science laboratories, an art studio, music studio, I.T. rooms, gymnasium, swimming pool and large outdoor sports facilities, including two full size football pitches; this allows us to offer an extensive extra-curricular activity program, sports and arts programs.
We are proud that 3 out of 4 of our graduates have chosen, and been admitted to, the world’s top universities (according to the QS World University Rankings). Our graduates attend the very best universities in the world, including Oxford, Tsinghua, UCL, LSE and NYU. We have graduates attending two of the world’s top 3 Art & Design Institutes, entering the New York Fashion Institute where Calvin Klein and Michael Kors graduated, and undertaking internships with globally famous companies such as Porsche and PWC.
We are part of the worldwide Nord Anglia Education family and this gives us a unique link to schools and opportunities worldwide. This includes partnerships with the world leader of performing arts education, The Juilliard School, with the world’s number one university, MIT, and our collaboration with UNICEF, whereby students have their social consciousness raised so they care more deeply about the world and the people in it. Our unique online and classroom collaboration platform, Global Campus, connects more than 67,000 Nord Anglia students and our visits to expedition centers in Tanzania and Switzerland take learning beyond imagination.
