Mark K., a Year 13 Visual Arts student, was one of the standout artists in the exhibition. His body of work, consisting of 10 pieces ranging from watercolour to gouache as a medium, explored the theme of loneliness and isolation. Mark is a foreign Korean student who experienced these emotions first-hand during the COVID-19 pandemic while studying in China. His installation, which explored the power of Deja vu, left a strong impression on the exhibition visitors.

The exhibiting Year 12 Visual Arts students, William Z. and Alexander Z., showcased their year one DP artworks that included videography, digital art, and photography. Their mock exhibition aimed to explore all they have learned in the past year, demonstrating their exceptional progress in the field of visual arts.

These talented students worked hard to produce artworks that are rich in meaning and beauty. The exhibition was a reflection of the time and effort the students put into their craft, showcasing their dedication and passion for visual arts.

Léman International School Chengdu is proud to have such a fantastic space to exhibit student artwork. The exhibition was open to the public, and many visitors were impressed by the quality of the students’ work. It was a great opportunity for the students to display their artwork and to receive feedback from visitors, helping them grow and develop as artists.
