Applying for an undergraduate program at Oxford or Cambridge and receiving an interview invitation means that a student’s academic achievements must be among the very best in the world. For A-level students, the typical requirement is AAA or above, with high grades in key subjects; for IB students, a total score of 40–42 or higher is generally expected, with 6–7 in Higher Level subjects; and for AP students, top scores of 5 in relevant subjects are usually required. In addition, competitive courses often require passing specialized admissions tests (such as MAT, BMAT, STEP), and interview performance, academic competition awards, or independent research projects are also heavily considered. Therefore, receiving an interview invitation from Oxford or Cambridge not only reflects outstanding academic results but also demonstrates strong subject interest, excellent logical reasoning skills, and independent thinking ability.
