Léman Students Shine in Global Physics and Mathematics Challenges

Students from Léman International School Chengdu recently achieved outstanding results in two prestigious international competitions: the 2026 BPhO Online Intermediate Physics Challenge and the 2026 Intermediate Mathematical Challenge (UKMT-IMC). 

The BPhO Online Intermediate Physics Challenge is an international physics competition that tests students’ problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and understanding of fundamental physics concepts. In this year’s challenge, Yeongjun L. (Year 12) earned a Global Silver Award, and Minwoo K. (Year 11) received a Global Bronze Award, showcasing their strong abilities in physics. 

The UKMT Intermediate Mathematical Challenge (IMC) is a highly respected UK-based mathematics competition that encourages creativity, logical reasoning, and mathematical insight. Zeyuan Z. (Year 10) achieved a remarkable Global Gold Award and was also recognized as Best in School, demonstrating excellence in mathematical thinking and problem-solving. 

These achievements highlight Léman students’ academic talent and the school’s commitment to nurturing globally minded young learners in STEM. We warmly congratulate Yeongjun, Minwoo, and Zeyuan on their excellent results and are proud of their dedication and hard work.
