Last Monday, I delivered presentations on pupil progress at NAISAK since the introduction of assessments by the Centre for Evaluation and Monitoring (CEM) from Durham University in the northeast of England. The presentations were divided up between the Primary School, which follows Interactive Computerised Assessments (InCAS) and Secondary School, which follows Middle Years Information System (MidYIS) and Year Eleven Information System (Yellis) assessments. I was extremely pleased with the turnout and the interesting discussions that took place. Should any parents like additional information about how the CEM assessments operate, please do not hesitate to contact me. It would be best to contact your child’s Classroom Teacher or Form Tutor if you have questions about their specific performance on the assessments. As per our standard practice, we aim to respond to all queries within 24 hours and are more than happy to arrange for a meeting to further discuss any of your questions.
The CEM assessments provide a useful benchmark for students’ level of achievement. Moving forward, we will monitor progress against this benchmark to help ensure every child realises their potential.
I am pleased to report that the hard courts that are being constructed are on schedule and we look forward to being able to use them during the third term.
This March, more than 200 international educators from 15 countries around the globe will descend on Hanoi, Vietnam to innovate, problem solve and brainstorm at one of the world’s largest academic conferences.
Year 10 NAISAK students participated in this special expedition that collaborated with our partner charity in Tanzania (Seeway) on sustainable programs, improving health and prospects for children and families. This included connecting with many local partners supporting in Educational facilities, sports coaching and sustainable agriculture.
