We tell our students that, although assemblies take place every Monday, each of them is special due to the specific aspect of our High Five it promotes and/or the particular achievement it celebrates. Every weekly e-Newsletter is therefore equally distinctive with its very own content and celebration. However, we need to highlight, and celebrate, the exception of today’s e-Newsletter: pictures of NAISAK’s first-ever IGCSE exam are released! After months (years!) of preparation and a first taster of official examinations some weeks ago with the French Foreign Language and English Second Language speaking assessments, last Friday certainly marked a milestone in the life of our Year 11 students and the history of our school. All of our Year 11 students woke up bright and early on Friday, and came to school to sit their IGCSE Mathematics Paper 1 examination. Tension was certainly in the air as our gym was transformed into an exam hall and our students gathered to share with one another ultimate tips to tackle as successfully as possible this first step.

Relief was visible on everybody’s face when the exam papers were collected and the students exited the hall. As much as every assembly or e-Newsletter is unique and special, the shape success will take for each of our students is also specific to their own objectives and life ambitions. Looking back, it is humbling to reflect on our students’ and school’s journey. Walking along our students through our first IGCSE session can only reinforce our determination to support all of our young learners fulfil their personal goals.

We are looking forward to the next exam, Biology, on Tuesday.
