As a teacher, people always ask me what subject I teach. I always say I teach 'people' - skills to learn, and to think for themselves. Students who are struggling to learn need to be taught 'how' to deal with failures and imperfections, to accept themselves and the realities they can't change, to respect others, to communicate ideas, to work when it's difficult, and to help themselves - these are priceless skills that last a lifetime, skills I love to teach so much that I've been doing this for 15 years now! That's the "subject" I teach from Grades 6 to 12. I have worked in many countries, but I love that Northbridge is a community that bravely embraces cultural identity and diversity.
