Helena Edwards

Primary Social and Emotional Counsellor

I am very excited to join NISC as the Primary Counsellor and to have the opportunity to work with students from many different spheres of life. I aim to be sensitive to the larger cultural, spiritual, and family contexts that shape and inform students, and assist them with their mental health and wellbeing needs. Having enjoyed working with students in Bangkok, Thailand (Nord Anglia School), I am so excited to be back in Asia and I look forward to exploring Cambodia and meeting everyone.

When not in school, I am from South Africa and love being creative, nature connection, dancing, mountain biking, hiking, films, books, and socialising.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in Counselling and Art Therapy (PennWest Edinboro University); Clinical Supervision (Sophia Condaris); Community Art Counsellor and Trainer (Lefika La Phodiso); Honours Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology (UNISA University); Bachelor of Arts (WITS University).
