Principal's Message - New Year, New Term

Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome to a new year and a new term.  I hope everybody had a restful break and enjoyed a wonderful holiday period.  It was an exciting end of term with many fantastic activities which brought the NAISAK community together. We enjoyed the Around The World Cultural Event, followed by our Qatari National Day celebrations and finished the term with an exciting House competition, which featured a tug-of-war.  Congratulations to Loreto House who were victorious on the day.

We will be hosting our first Parent Teacher Friends Association (PTFA) meeting on Tuesday 10 January at 07:30 in the Principal’s Office.  Any parents who are interested are encouraged to attend.

Behind the scenes, we have been progressing on the completion of our strategic development plan.  Administrative staff and teachers worked towards agreeing visionary statements for our areas of focus last Wednesday.  We have also started to concentrate our efforts on considering one-year milestone achievements.  The Extended Leadership Team (ELT) with some parent representation will work on Saturday from 08:00 to 15:00 with the aim of completing a draft plan, which will then involve a period of consultation with the community before a final plan is agreed in early February.  Should you be interested in taking part in this important planning day or offering general feedback, please do not hesitate to contact me directly at david.pontich@nais.qa

We are delighted to welcome Ms Libby Antonic to the school.  Libby is coming to us straight from the UK.  She is bringing with her experience in working in a number of schools and has been specialising in working with students with additional learning needs.  Please click below to read her profile.

Happy New Year and best wishes for a prosperous 2017!
