Principal's Message - Strategic Development Plan

Dear Parents and Students

I would like to thank Mrs Sue Mahon, Mrs Misty McCord, Mrs Vibha Xalxo and Mr James Davis who were kind enough to give up their Saturday to work with the Extended Leadership Team on the successful completion of a first draft of our Strategic Development Plan.  The input of the parents was extremely useful as it helped to ensure we look at issues from a different perspective.

It was a very productive day where we reviewed our key educational priorities, finalised vision statements for each respective area and agreed milestones for where we will be in our journey in one year’s time.  Following this, we established detailed road maps with success criteria, which will outline how we will achieve our ambitious goals for the school.

We aim to release a fully ratified version of the strategic development plan in February.  Thus far, we have consulted all members of our staff at NAISAK including administrative staff, every teacher and every Learning Assistant.

The key areas we have focused on include:

Teaching and learning:  Differentiation, Pupil Progress and Reading

Foundation Stage

English as an Additional Language provision

Over the years, I have worked on several development plans in various different forms.  I can honestly say that I have never been so impressed with a group of individuals working on the plan, as I have over the past few months at NAISAK.  I would like to express my sincerest thank you to the staff, students and parents who have made valuable contributions to shaping the direction of our school.

Yours faithfully

Dave Pontich
