Children at St Andrews International School Bangkok were treated to lots of Halloween fun in the Primary School Library with activities, spooky books and movies. Your donations of used books is still welcome and will help earn house points.
We had a lot of spooky goings on in the Primary School Library this week and also some unwanted visitors! The children really enjoyed creating some amazing pumpkin designs and carefully honed their word skills to write ghoulish Halloween Haikus. We gave out 50+ house points so well done to everyone who took part. Our spookiest titles literally flew out the door and we darkened down the resource room during KS2 lunchtime from Wednesday to Friday when the children huddled together to watch some [not too] creepy episodes of “The Worst Witch”. With the week culminating in ‘Frightful Friday’ a good time was had by all!
We put out a lot of lovely shiny new books this week from our recent Scholastic and Kinokuniya orders including the very popular and updated Mr Men series and some new ‘graphic’ or visual novels in a comic style for our older junior readers.
Our Week 11 books feature cats, owls, bears and dinosaurs and are great for all ages and levels. We hope you enjoy them.
We are still happy to receive your donations of used books for our used-book sale. Please bring them into the Library by Friday 16 November and earn house points. Our next Book Fair & Used Books Sale will take place throughout the week commencing 26 November.

We are thrilled to announce that St Andrews International School Bangkok has been selected to host the VEX Signature Event in November 2024. This prestigious international event, organised by the Robotics Education and Competition Foundation (RECF), will welcome 70 teams of young students aged 7 to 15 from the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions.
