As part of our commitment to a truly global education, we encourage our students to learn multiple languages and explore different cultures. Enrichment opportunities include Arabic for beginners, Mandarin (various levels), Korean culture, Hebrew, and German.

We also cultivate our students’ skills in specialist subjects, offering English literature and language groups, a Thai support club, and maths challenge activities, as well as homework and ‘improve your writing’ clubs. Creative arts

We encourage our students to explore their creativity in relevant, interesting, and worthwhile ways. Here, we celebrate each student’s artistic skills, and provide a broad spectrum of opportunities that give them the space and time to express themselves.

Our younger students sculpt clay models, draw cartoons, paint with watercolours, and recharge and refresh at our mindful colouring club. And at our storytime and art activities, we encourage them to imagine and invent new worlds. At high school, our older students learn about Thai arts and culture, write poetry, draw landscapes, and explore Anime and Manga art. There’s lots of fun to be had at our magic, board game, and shadow play clubs, too!

We’re passionate about the performing arts. Music, drama, and dance enrich our students’ time here, and are delivered by specialist teachers in purpose-built creative spaces.

Your child will enjoy world-class artistic experiences through our exclusive collaboration with The Juilliard School. They’ll step on stage in our 260-seater theatre, learn an instrument – from the guitar and violin to the piano and saxophone – in our music studios, and choreograph dance routines in inspiring creative spaces.

Our extra-curricular clubs are open to all abilities, too. There’s ballet and hip hop, Thai singing and Japanese dance, and our set and prop design group. Your child can also join our string ensemble, junior varsity dance team, or wind band, and star in our blockbuster summer production.

They can also hone their individual badminton, fencing, tennis, swimming, and golf skills. And if they want to try something a bit different, we offer parkour, synchronised swimming, Kendo, Zendokai karate, Aussie rules football, and much, much more.

STEAM

Our science, technology, engineering, arts and maths (STEAM) programme is an innovative way of learning that inspires our students to think creatively and solve complex challenges.

In our design technology labs, students harness the power of EdTech – including 3D printers, laser cutters, robotics, and cutting-edge software – to work on real-world scenarios that test and develop their skills. This includes building a working video game controller from design to prototype, designing sustainable housing, and constructing a robot vehicle to tackle an obstacle course.

We offer a host of extra-curricular activities, too, including little scientists, Minecraft education, science rocks, Lego, and drone clubs.

Global expeditions

Our once-in-a-lifetime citizenship trip to Arusha, Tanzania, teaches students about global responsibility and sustainability, and the important role we play in looking after our planet. Working with locals on a variety of projects, students develop a sense of independence, increase their understanding of the world, and learn the importance of being part of a community.

The personal challenge expedition in Les Martinets, Switzerland, encourages our students to push themselves to their limits. Set in the beautiful Swiss Alps, students hike through the mountains and take on a series of challenges. Students also learn important skills – like cooking and working together under pressure – while creating treasured memories that will stay with them forever.

Overnight trips to exciting destinations in Thailand and beyond open our students’ eyes to the world around them, nurturing their personal and social growth.

Residential trips

From Year 2, your child will join their teachers and friends on exciting overnight trips, where they'll become increasingly independent, broaden their knowledge, and learn in a practical way.

This includes wildlife adventures in Chiang Mai, exploring world heritage sites in Kanchanaburi, and making new discoveries on the beaches and hiking trails of Pranburi. All our activities are led by experts and supported by St Andrews teachers and staff.

Local excursions

We organise a wide range of educational and cultural trips in and around Bangkok, from local museums to field trips into local communities. Each activity is carefully planned to broaden perspectives and add an extra dimension to your child’s learning.

Our IBDP visual arts students embark on eye-opening cultural excursions to local temples, while our younger children enjoy a range of days out - which typically take place during school hours - including a geography field trip to Hua Hin.

LOOKING AFTER YOUR CHILD

While they’re with us, we’ll make sure your child is happy, healthy, and supported in everything they do.

From helping our students to cope with the pressures of university admissions, to safely navigating the world of social media, our school-wide focus on healthy minds helps each child to look after themselves and others.

All our teachers receive Mindfulness in Schools training, too, which gives them the tools to help students manage stress, bounce back from difficult experiences, and stay engaged. Our Counselling Centre also provides a safe place for students to express themselves, while transition days support our younger children through the move to secondary school.

OUR SOCIAL PURPOSE

PROTECTING OUR PLANET

At St Andrews, your child will use their creativity, compassion, and resourcefulness to drive real change in our community and across the globe.

Our genuine passion for protecting what’s important is underpinned by our Environment Review and Action Plan, which challenges our students to find creative solutions to pressing challenges, like reducing food waste, protecting coral reefs, and eating less meat. And through our exclusive collaboration with UNICEF, your child will explore global issues, like the UN Rights of the Child and the Sustainable Development Goals agendas.
