05 February 2018

Mr Paul hurried back from the NAE Recruitment Fair in London just in time for Fun Day. What a great day it was! Looking forward, St Andrews Presents… A Theatre Showcase takes place this week so hurry to book your ticket if you haven’t already. It promises to be a great evening showcasing our High School students’ amazing talents.

Fun Day

A huge thank to our PTG and everyone at school who was involved in organising last Saturday’s Fun Day held at Primary School. There were great rides, food and fun for all the family with music provided throughout the day by High School bands and choirs. The talent shows featured the fantastic skills and abilities of children across the Primary School, and everyone who performed did so exceptionally well. There was a tremendous atmosphere around the school which everyone enjoyed.

UK Recruitment Trip

I returned quickly from my UK recruitment trip so I could attend the Fun Day which, although pretty jet-lagged, I thoroughly enjoyed. In the UK I interviewed 18 teachers over the course of three days. These teachers come from a wide range of primary and specialist teaching subjects and I made some great appointments.  We have also been conducting interviews using Skype and have met with teachers wishing to work at our school who are within the Southeast Asian region and who come to our school for interviews.  I feel this year we have an incredibly strong field of teachers who have applied to work with our school.  Many appointments have been made and more details will be given about who is joining us and who is leaving later in the year when all the contractual details have been finalized.

Feedback from Parents

Nord Anglia Education will be launching a parent survey in the next few weeks which will seek to get direct feedback about how all the schools within the Nord Anglia Education family are operating. Our whole school parent community will receive this survey consisting of questions about various areas of the school’s operation.  I want to bring this to your attention early because it would great if everyone within our school community could complete the survey to give us really valuable information about areas where we are doing well and areas where we can improve further.  We can then use this information to help us guide our development over the next two years.

St Andrews Presents...2018  A Theatre Showcase

Please be sure to purchase tickets for the upcoming 2018 Theatre Showcase from the High School Office.  If last year’s show is any indicator, this event is sure to be one the highlights of our performing arts calendar, and it certainly will be the biggest event held in our new High School theatre to date. For 200 baht, you will be bedazzled by the quality productions assembled by our Drama Department and our multi-talented students. Hope to see you all there on Wednesday, 7 February.
