Celebrating Halloween with Horror books

During Halloween Week, the Simon Lawrence Library asked students to decorate balloons with frightfully creepy, ghostly creatures to welcome all readers who love horror stories. A big thanks to all the participants in the activity and a House Point was awarded to them. All the spook-tacular books were on display in the horror collection so that everybody enjoyed reading them surrounded by an eerie atmosphere in the library.

Launch of eBooks

As of this week, the Library launched ebooks for the first time. We are so pleased to announce that ebooks are now available for our High School students to read and/or check out through the library system, Destiny Discover. Please download the Destiny Discover app from app stores by scanning the QR code below and follow the easy step-by-step instructions by clicking the following link - How to use Destiny Discover (Destiny Discover App). If you use any devices with iOS by Apple, please follow the instructions here - How to use Destiny Discover (iOS by Apple). You can also access Destiny Discover to locate our ebooks through Moodle - How to use Destiny Discover (From Moodle). Whenever and wherever you want to read/check out our ebooks, you can open the app and just log in with your St Andrews International School Bangkok network username & password, the same as your school computer login information. Also, you can visit our library to see the list of ebooks on display beside the library entrance. There are a total of 60 books including popular fiction and award-winning books ready for you to check out at this moment. The standard loan period for ebooks is 14 days, same as the hard copies in the library. Gradually, the library will be increasing the number of diverse ebooks in our collection, so please stay tuned.
