Key Stage 1

Our Key Stage 1 children follow a dynamic and enriching curriculum that encourages students to develop a natural curiosity and instils a lifelong love of learning.

Key Stage 1 02

Your child's Primary school experience at St Andrews International School Bangkok begins with Key Stage 1.  This stage consists of Year 1 and 2, ages 6-7—a period of curiosity, questions and excitement.

Our curriculum seeks to help children absorb knowledge and improve their skills, all while developing their interests, strengths and ways of learning. The St Andrews Way!

We incorporate the best practices of the English National Curriculum by creating a thematic approach where learning is integrated into child-centred activities.

A Rich Learning Environment for Every Child

Our teachers are mindful of multiple intelligences, including emotional intelligence, and consider multi-sensory teaching methods to plan, deliver, and assess our Primary School curriculum. We provide a stimulating learning environment in which all children have the opportunity to succeed. There is also a careful balance between academic, creative and physical activities to ensure our curriculum develops the whole child.

Opportunities to develop other skills are available to our KS1 children, with different music, physical education, swimming, and Thai language specialists. We also offer native German, Japanese, Korean, and French speakers - The Global Language Programme.  Our world-class facilities help set the stage for a rich and multifaceted learning experience that will give your child the skills and confidence they need to succeed.
