After graduating from University with a degree in Spanish Studies (BA Hons), I completed my PGCE in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and Modern Foreign Languages.I have been teaching now for over 20 years and I have been extremely privileged to work in some outstanding schools as Head of Spanish, Head of EAL and Housemistress of Senior Girls' Boarding Houses.
I have had quite an international background and have worked in schools in the UK, Switzerland, Vietnam, the UAE and now in Thailand. This has helped me to embrace the idea of global citizenship and has provided me with valuable experiences that have allowed me to be a life long learner.
I love sharing my passion for Spanish with the students I teach and I aspire to motivate and inspire them to further develop their cultural awareness and language level. In my free time I enjoy spending quality time with my son Hadyn, exercising, reading and socialising.
I love the fact that St Andrews is so inclusive and allows all our students to experience new opportunities and alternative pathways. It is a very friendly school and there is always someone to help!
