I have been in Bangkok since 2014 and completed my PGCE Primary (with QTS) at Manchester Metropolitan University. I also got a BA Hons degree in English & Writing from the same university. I have always loved teaching and, as well as teaching primary in an international school in Bangkok, I have also taught in schools in Manchester, my home town.
I have worked in a range of year groups throughout my teaching career, which has been a wholesome opportunity to see children's learning journey throughout Primary school. After learning about Thailand, I decided to visit and instantly fell in love with the culture, food, and lovely people. Bangkok is such a fascinating and chaotic city. It never ceases to amaze me!
As well as watching football, I enjoy working out regularly and have developed a keen interest in photography. I also love to travel, and I am curious to learn about new countries and cultures wherever and whenever I have the opportunity. I always try and bring this curiosity to the classroom and my teaching.
As soon as I arrived at St Andrews International School Bangkok, I instantly felt part of a fantastic community. It is exceptional how teachers work in tight-knit teams and with the whole school to ensure both children and parents have the best possible experience. I am impressed by their passion for working together to create such a unique school. I genuinely feel very welcome here.
