Since 2013, I have been working in France, the UK, Bahrain and China teaching French and Spanish as Foreign Languages across different educational settings (early childhood, primary, secondary and graduate school levels). My responsibilities spanned from classroom management and leadership to developing creative and innovative teaching approaches across multi-cultural learning environments. I have always been interested in teaching in schools with British Educational Curricula, hence, my specialization in PGCE French and Spanish.
In addition, I have pursued a Master in French as a Modern Foreign Language / French as a Second Language at the University of Strasbourg, France, as well as a B.A. in Modern Foreign Languages, with one year in the United States. Having worked for the Alliance Française in Shanghai and in Bahrain, I have also become a certified examiner for DELF - DALF (A1 to C2). These are exams accredited by The French Ministry of National Education and the Office for the Study of Languages and Cultures (CIEP-BELC). I was also trained in School Management and Leadership by the same institute.
My outgoing personality, intercultural communication skills and cultural sensibility, have been an asset when working with learners of all ages and different nationalities. In addition, my volunteering experience with CASAS Association encouraged me to learn new skills, including human rights education.
"A dedicated teacher who is always careful to learners' needs, making sure no one is left behind. She has the ability to relate to students on their level, making learning fun and easy to understand. The students look forward to entering Mabell's classroom because she encourages self-expression and strengthens their self-confidence."
