Spanish & French teacher
For me, languages are a passion! I am a Spanish native speaker. My professional studies include a bachelor degree in Philology /linguistics (Colombia, National University), a Master (research) in French Literature (France, University of Lyon II) a diploma in didactics of French (France, Sorbonne Nouvelle, Paris 3), and a diploma in didactics of Spanish as a Second and Foreign language (Colombia, Instituto Caro y Cuervo).
In addition, I have studied other languages as Italian and Japanese, I passed my 2 levels of Thai in Chulalongkorn University, and hopefully one day I will be able to be fluent in Thai too! Thanks to this, I have been able to teach both Spanish and French in a variety of levels and contexts ranging from KS3, KS4 and for University degrees as well as, one-on-one lessons; with excellent results in the International Examinations (DELF, DALF, IBDP, IGCSE). I am also an IB examiner for language B examinations.
I was born in Bogota, the capital of Colombia. I love travelling and I enjoy every opportunity to discover new cultures, and meet new places and people. As a latina, I really like dancing too.
St. Andrews is so rich, diverse and inclusive that it feels like you can visit the world without moving out of your classroom.
