I started my career as a PE teacher after working as a football coach and personal fitness trainer. In a previous school, one of my major achievements was to set up and run a football academy for 16- to 19-year-olds. The students combined studying at the school and a full-time coaching scholarship for 2 years, winning the league undefeated in their final year. In recent years I have begun to specialise more on Early Years and Primary PE and developed my style and expertise in this area.
The decision to move to Bangkok with my family, Mrs. Marie, Ava, Lana and Micah, was very easy. We were told many positive things about the school and could tell that it was the right environment for us and our children. With the right environment for us as teachers and for our children to have an amazing education we are looking forward to many years at St Andrews International School Bangkok.
A major part of my life has always been sport. I enjoy being part of a team and most of all competing - and no I do not like to lose. I became the captain of the football, basketball and cricket team at my High School and played football for Swindon Town up until I was 16. I am an honest, caring and motivated teacher who likes to develop and progress children’s sporting skills and capabilities.
My hobbies include football, golf, tennis and squash, plus listening to music. I have three children, so a major part of my life is spending time doing exciting things with them. I have always loved to travel so I look forward to showing my children how beautiful Thailand is.
St Andrews has a sports programme unlike any other I have experienced. The PE teachers are all motivated and work together to give the best possible sporting education and development for the children here. The children are enthusiastic about wanting to improve in their lessons and strive to be the best they can be in the many squads that are offered.
