I have been Head of Primary PE and Sport since joining St Andrews in 2013. I am honoured to have the opportunity to work at St Andrews and love my job. I am extremely motivated to ensure children develop, learn and enjoy all sports at St Andrews and in this way, I make sure our PE and Sports opportunities continually develop.
St Andrews has a sports programme unlike any other I have experienced. I am proud that we offer a fully inclusive sports ECA programme that gives children of all abilities and experience the chance to learn any sport they wish to, all year around. I also really enjoy teaching our PE curriculum that harbors our core values that sport is fun, exciting and enjoyable. I am passionate about having a positive impact on all children’s journey to having a lifelong love of being active, playing sport and being healthy.
A major part of my life has always been sports and living an active and healthy lifestyle. I played football for Swindon Town up until I was 16 and then went on to play semi-professionally for a number of years. I enjoy being part of a team and competing, with sport always being a massive passion of mine. After University, I worked in my hometown, and also America, as a football coach before starting my own Fitness Company, working with children, adults and athletes to improve their health and fitness.
My hobbies include football, golf, tennis and squash, plus listening to music. I have three children, so a major part of my life is spending time doing exciting things with them. I have always loved to travel and Thailand is a great place to take my children and family to many amazing places.
I look forward to continually improving the PE opportunities for all children and making the sports programme here at St Andrews the best it can be.
