I graduated from John Moores University, Liverpool with a degree in Physical Education and Youth Sport/Dance before completing a PGCE in Physical Education at Durham University. I have been teaching for over 20 years. 11 of those in schools in the North East of England, before I moved to international education teaching in Thailand and the United Arab Emirates. I have coached gymnastics, swimming and athletics to National and International level of competition as well as teaching lots of team sports, to a variety of different levels.
Dance has always been a subject that I've been very passionate about; teaching GCSE, BTEC and A level Performance Studies whilst in the UK and I am extremely lucky to be work with Julliard Programme at St Andrews.
I am a fair, honest individual who likes to work in a stimulating and ever changing environment. I have the philosophy that a healthy body and healthy mind are interrelated and equally important. I love keeping fit and taking part in a variety of sports.
I have played netball for a number of years and love being in a team environment ; swimming helps me relax, scuba diving opens up another world to explore and Zumba/Dance classes are a great way to unwind. I love to travel; experiencing new cultures and new places - mountains or beaches; cities or countryside; the world is there to be explored!
St Andrews is a very friendly, welcoming, happy place to be. The days go by quickly as you are always kept so busy!
