Entry requirements at St Andrews
Our school is open to children aged 2-18. We welcome students from all backgrounds and abilities. Applications are open all year round and your child can start at any time.
Step 1: Application form and supporting documents
After taking a tour – either in person or online – you’ll need to complete your child’s application form. You’ll also need to send us the following documents:
- A copy of your child’s passport or birth certificate.
- Two passport photos of your child (taken within the last six months).
- A copy of your passport(s) and visa(s).
- Your child’s school reports from the last two years (in English).
- A copy of any medical reports or a statement of special educational needs that will help us better understand your child’s learning needs (if applicable).
- A photocopy of your House Registration (Thai nationals only).
You can provide these documents on the day of your tour or email them to our admissions team.
Step 2: Assessment
We ask every child to sit an age-appropriate assessment. We do this to ensure we can meet their learning needs, and that our school is right for you.
Our assessment evaluates:
- Your child’s level of English in relation to their age and curriculum stage.
- Their willingness to take part in individual, group, and class activities.
- Their motivation and desire to learn.
- Their ability to engage with our curriculum
Typically, we’ll then invite your child to a ‘taster day’. This is an opportunity for prospective students to come into school, meet their peers, and get involved in a variety of activities. Our teachers will keep an eye on how your child is doing, and we’ll share our observations with you at the end of the day.
Step 3: Offering your child a place
All being well, we’ll send you a written offer of a place within 72 hours of your child’s assessment and/or taster day.
Step 4: Acceptance and guaranteeing your place
Once you’ve accepted our offer, you’ll need to pay an Application Fee of 6,000 THB (per child). You’ll also need to pay our non-refundable Enrolment Fee within two weeks of receiving your written offer. This guarantees your child’s place. If the Enrolment Fee isn’t paid in this two-week period, your place may be offered to another applicant.
