Fun Day Talent Show Auditions

HOUSE TALENT SHOW 2017 - Fun Day – 3.2.17

We would like to invite the students of KS1 and KS2 to audition for the House Talent Show 2018!

To take part, the students should prepare a short item that shows off their talent. This could be poetry reading, music, drama, dance, art, comedy, magic or any other skill that your child would like to share. Please bear in mind the audience when preparing so that the talent is presented in an interesting and entertaining way!

The auditions will take place during music lessons in the week beginning 22 January. Your child should plan, rehearse and be prepared to show their talent during that week. Group entries are welcome but please help the children to meet and practice.

ALL AUDITIONS WILL RECEIVE 2 HOUSE POINTS!!!

Please could you help your child to prepare for this by supporting him/her in their practicing and letting them perform to you as a pretend show. Through this support your child will feel more confident, prepared and excited about auditioning in class.

The winners will be announced the following week and all winners should be ready to perform in a Winners Showcase on Fun Day, Saturday 3 February.

Please encourage your child to take part in this opportunity to develop their performance and presentation skills, as well as supporting their house! GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

Musical Instrument ECAs - spaces still available

If your child is interested in learning an instrument here is what is on offer with our new instrumental ECAs in Term 2:

Tuesday Lunchtime ECAs (half an hour):
Piano Skills - Year 2 group and Year 3-6 group

Tuesday ECA:
Clarinet - Years 3-6
Violin - Years 4-6
Piano Skills - Years 4-6

Friday ECA:
Saxophone - Years 4-6

Please check on Moodle for the prices for half hour and 1 hour lessons.

High School Music

This week there will be a series of lunchtime concerts for our Rock Bands. The bands have been working very hard to get through to the finals of this years TISAC Battle of the Bands.

All performances will begin at 1pm in the Atrium.
