Loy Krathong Celebrations

The children looked amazing and enjoyed making their own Krathongs to place on the water of our colourful display. Thanks to Miss Dimple for her creative skills and helping the children to understand more about this joyful festival.

Scholastic Book Club - The Final Grand Total Is In...

A staggering $2296.62 in orders has been placed so a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who made purchases. This means we have a whopping  $316.84 in Rewards to spend on new books.

In terms of contributions by class the top contributors were:

  1. 3K $384.55 (who came out of nowhere to take the lead!)

  2. 6T $252.14

  3. 5M $156.24

So very well done and thanks to all of you - children, teachers and parents for making this such a successful Book Club.

Creative Table Activity - Christmas Decorations

Christmas has caught up with us in the Library with the setting up of our tree. The children love making their own decorations so this will be this week’s creative activity as well as reading and writing seasonal poems. We are also lucky to have Ms Marie and her choir coming to sing for us during morning break time on Monday 3 December when the children will be able to hang their decorations on the tree and also decorate the Library for the final two weeks of term.

Books of the Week

We hope you enjoy our selection of books for this week.

New and  Used Books Sale

Our NEW and Used Book Sale is in full swing all week at the Library! Please come and have a good browse at our Used Books for sale at only 10 - 50 baht per item - plus there are also some classics and ‘specials’  which will be priced individually - and also be sure to check out the treasures which Kinokuniya will bring with them and display throughout every day this week outside the Library entrance.

We will receive a commission from Kinokuniya on all sales which we will use to buy new books and the money raised from the used books sale will be donated to a local charity, PAWS Bangkok, which does great work in rescuing and caring for sick and abandoned cats and kittens which can then also be adopted. They are always desperately in need of money to pay for food, vaccines, vet bills etc and so let’s please try to raise as much money as we can to help them. Thank you all in advance.
