St Andrews International School Bangkok is the host of VEX Robotics Competitions in Thailand. We are proud to host both the VIQRC National and the VRC National events.

St Andrews International School Bangkok is the host of VEX Robotics Competitions in Thailand. We host both the VIQRC National and VRC National events. VEX Robotics is integrated school-wide from Year 4 up to Year 13 using the entire VEX Robotics consortium, this is integrated both into the curriculum in different year groups as well as a heavy emphasis on ECAs for coaching teams for the National events. Our St Andrews (STA) teams have qualified four times for the World Championships over the last few years and we run very exciting, vibrant competitions similar to what students, teachers and coaches experience in the World Championships in the USA.

What is VEX Robotics?

VEX Robotics is educational robotics for everyone. VEX solutions span all levels of both formal and informal education with accessible, scalable, and affordable solutions. Beyond science and engineering principles, VEX encourages creativity, teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving among groups. It allows educators of all types to engage and inspire the STEM problem solvers of tomorrow!

VEX IQ Competition (Junior)

In the VEX IQ Competition teams of students are tasked with designing and building a robot to play with other teams in a game-based engineering challenge. Classroom STEM concepts are put to the test as students learn lifelong skills in teamwork, leadership, communications, and more.

VEX Robotics hosts the world’s largest robotics competition for students all over the world to compete against one another using a robot of their own design. In the VEX IQ Competition, classroom STEM concepts are put to the test as students learn lifelong skills in teamwork, leadership, communications, and more. Tournaments to determine the best teams are held year-round at the regional, state, and national levels and culminate at the VEX Robotics World Championship each April.

VEX V5 Competition (Senior)
