Lauren Baker

Northbridge International School Cambodia - Lauren

Art Teacher

Lauren holds an Art Education degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the United States, but her teaching career has taken an international path. She has spent the last 5 years teaching art to students from Pre-K to Grade 12 in the US, Thailand, and Morocco.

  • BA in Art Education (K-12), University of Nebraska-Lincoln, USA

Lauren has spent most of her education career teaching abroad, and uses art as a medium for exploring culture and community with students. She encourages students to view art as a form of communication that can inform, inspire, empower, or serve as a catalyst for change.

Although her formal training and career have been focused on the visual arts, Lauren enjoys and participates in arts in all forms. She enjoys singing, dancing, reading, and playing the ukulele, and even met her husband while touring and performing with a cast of Up With People in 2013.

Before joining Northbridge, Lauren taught art in American Schools located in Casablanca, Morocco, and Chiang Rai, Thailand.
