On Tuesday 29th and Thursday 31st January BSB Sanlitun U7 and U9 boys and girls gymnastic teams set off to Harrow to compete in their very first gymnastics competition.
Since the beginning of the year, our Key stage 2 children have been improving their water confidence and developing the individual stroke techniques to become a competent swimmer.
This week was an absolute storm in the PE department! Our U9/U11 boys and girls both represented the school in the JISAC handball tournament held at BCIS.
This week a number of Year 4, 5 and 6 children represented the school at our first JISAC sporting event… Cross Country. The event was held at YCIS, with 7 other schools competing.
After weeks of hard work, auditions, practices and even the occasional temper tantrum, last Friday the final of the annual talent competition: ‘Sanlitun’s got Talent took place. The final 8 acts took to the stage to produce a spectacular and diverse show full of fun, laughter and remarkable creative ability.
This week in Chinese we learned the story of the monster Nián (年, year) and did various kinds of Chinese crafts to celebrate the coming Year of Rooster.
Following on from the U9 success, it was now the turn of the Y5/6 children to showcase their talents at the U11 JISAC Invitational Football Tournament at the Beijing City International School (BCIS).
