Another busy term has started and the EAL students are already working hard on their new topics.

Year 1 are talking about toys and Year 2 are learning about different modes of transport.

In Year 3, our heroes - Ben and Lucy - have been called to the hospital, so the children are practicing language about being unwell. Year 4 has started a new topic about Space. Their story is reaching the conclusion as it moves to a Planetarium.

The Year 5 children are discussing tourism as their story has moved to Istanbul and finally the Year 6 group is looking at explanation texts about the Water Cycle and Plants.

We also start the New Year by welcoming one new EAL student: Ema in Year 2.

Finally, in the interests of letting the children have their own input; this week they were asked two questions.

What do you like about EAL?

Is there anything you would like to change?

Some answers included;-“more games”, “more stories”, “don’t change anything”, “I like learning in EAL”, “it’s fun”, "I like everything!”, I love Ben and Lucy stories”.

Thank you to all of those who gave us feedback – we hope we can keep the EAL lessons interesting, fun and informative.
