Francesco Banchini joined La Côte International School in 2016 as our Director of Performing Arts. Originally from Italy, Francesco has a long history in music, having begun with his being awarded with a musical sholarship at the conservatory at the age of 13, continuing to work as a musician in a wide variety of contexts; as a performer internationally, as a writer of film scripts, as a composer and performer of a range of published work.
He then decided to focus his passion for music into teaching and his love of sharing his passion with others. He constantly searches for ways to share his love with his students and makes their learning applicable to their life experience.
Francesco is a Harvard University graduate, among other qualifications, where he gained his Leadership CAEL qualification, and is currently working to complete his Masters of Education M.Ed. in Leadership and Management at the University of Bath.
He has worked as Head of Faculty of Music and Perfroming Arts at various international schools for many years, including the International School of London in Qatar, Hillcrest International School in Kenya and at the International School of Naples.
Francesco has been a mentor for many teachers, staff and children. His passion for music drives his teaching style and allows him to create the perfect learning environment for children to grow, be inspired and enjoy music. He is a devoted father of his three children and an insprinig educator.
