After the holidays we will start by reading some traditional tales, starting with the Three Little Pigs.

Reading Target - To become increasingly familiar with and re-telling a wider range of stories, fairy stories and traditional tales.

In writing we will focus on:

·         Developing a positive attitude and stamina for writing

·         Using a range of punctuation

·         Using subordination and co-ordination

Maths

In maths we will revisit telling the time.

Our learning objectives covered will include:

  • Telling the time, using quarter past, half past and quarter to
  • Representing time using both analogue and digital clocks
  • Solving written problems using time

Topic

We will continue our topic ‘People Of The Past’.

Our learning objectives covered will include:

  • Identifying differences between their own lives and those of people who lived in the past
  • Finding out aspects of the past from a range of sources
  • Finding out about a famous scientist - Edward Jenner
