Year 8 News - 9th June 2017

Find out what's been happening in Year 8

Message from the Year Leader

A you are probably aware, the Summer Fun Day has been cancelled for this term But don’t worry, it will be back during the first term next year.

Wishing a best of luck to all students that have taken their final assessments for term 3. All results, along with their subject reports will be out in a weeks’ time. More information to follow.

Rebekah Magee - Science

I was worried about this exam at the beginning because I wasn't here at the start of the year, but when the exam day came I went in prepared. Mr Howell gave us great revision help which did really help. In class he gave us pointers on the exam so I was well prepared and was happy with the outcome.

Patricia Jobst - Geography

I enjoyed the topic: weather and climate, because I got a lot of marks on this topic.

I did well in population too. I prepared for the exam well. I understood most of the questions.

Jack Lee - History

I enjoyed the History assessment the most because I felt very prepared and I eventually got a good score. I think I did very well because I used the PEE technique very efficiently. This is because I revised and had remembered some basic information. I am very proud of my score.

Marlene Liu - Maths

For the Maths assessment I enjoyed most the questions which are challenging for me. This would make me happy because I could learn more things that I don't and know what I can't do. So I could practice for it to make sure I know how to do it next time.

Daniel Brülinghaus - DT

I enjoyed the D.T assessment because it was different from the others due to the multiple choice questions. Also because we had to design a project for the last part. These are different than other assessments making it more unique.
