Staff Profile: Laura Hugo

Laura Hugo

Year 2 Alligators Class Teacher

I studied for my BA in Primary Education at the University of Gloucestershire in the UK. After graduating I spent a year in Cheltenham working at a local school across Key Stage 2. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this school and learnt a great deal from the experience. I have always loved to travel so decided at the end of the academic year to start my International teaching career.

In 2012 I started my International teaching career working in Doha for 2 years before coming to Beijing in 2014. I love being part of the team here at The British School of Beijing, Sanlitun. Having spent some of my childhood living in Beijing it has always held a special place in my heart and I am delighted to have the opportunity to continue my teaching career in such a vibrant and cultural city at a school that puts children’s learning first.

Having spent much of my childhood attending International schools in China and Africa I have always enjoyed travelling and learning about new cultures. I am enjoying having the chance to rediscover Beijing, as well as visit new and exciting places. In my spare time I love to cook, swim and read. One of my favourite things is to read a good book on the beach somewhere quiet.
