Staff Profile: Yvonne Williams

Yvonne Williams

P.E. Teacher

I worked for one year in the UK as a Secondary Curriculum classroom teacher and a PE teacher. I have spent the last four years working at the British School of Bucharest as a PE teacher for years 1 to 13. I helped develop the Inter-house sport competitions for ks1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. I also coached several sports teams and worked to improve participation in sport across the school, particularly girls sport.

I decided on BSB Sanlitun as a new challenge both culturally and teaching Early Years PE and becoming a part of the Nord Anglia Education organisation.

I come from a family of teachers and enjoy being able to share ideas and experiences with them. I love being a fun aunty with my three nephews and playing lots of different games with them.

I enjoy various sports, particularly team games, and recently developed a new interest in Squash.

Watching movies and reading are some of my favourite things to do when I have time to relax as well as traveling to as many new places as possible.

What the students say

“Miss Williams makes the PE lessons fun and enjoyable for everyone.”

“No matter what the score was for football she was always proud of us for trying our hardest and we always came off the pitch smiling.”

“Miss Williams helped me get better in Gymnastics.”
