My interest in teaching came after I spent two summers working on a summer camp in America. After that I completed my Primary education degree at the University of Northampton and knew instantly that I wanted to teach abroad. Now, in my seventh year of teaching, I have taught in London, Thailand and Panama all the way from Early Years to Upper Key Stage two. Having spent a large part of my career and childhood living abroad, I have a keen interest in how children learn English as an additional language. My classrooms have always been a very multicultural environment and and I am used to children coming to class with little to no English.
Travelling is my biggest hobby and I love visiting different countries and experiencing exciting cultures and traditions for myself. I am a qualified rescue scuba diver and I also enjoy trekking and have recently completed the Inca Trail in Peru. I love ticking things off on my ever-growing bucket list, and whilst in China, I hope to visit Tiger Leaping Gorge. I also love socialising with friends and family, watching movies and having barbeques in my garden.
