With over fifteen years of teaching experience in Mainland China (Guangzhou), Macao and Canada, I have a passion for working with students and adapting to their individual personalities. Up to now, the number of students I have worked with exceeds 3,000 and they range from one to fifty years old. Since receiving my Master’s Degree of Arts in 2006, I have also worked as a university lecturer in Macao. Furthermore, I have the privilege of having four academic papers published in national journals and also a textbook, titled Practical Mandarin for Tourism.
I have a rich knowledge of educational philosophy, teaching styles, students’ needs and parents’ expectations within different cultures and backgrounds.
As a mother and a teacher, I have been interested in researching Early Childhood Education, especially in the field of children’s language development. This led me to complete a diploma in Early Childhood Education in Canada and I have worked in thirteen educational organisations there, including regulated childcare centres, the Toronto District School Board, the Toronto Catholic District School Board, Toronto's largest Chinese school and also the renowned Montessori schools.
I have a passion for reading and I particularly enjoy reading with my children every single night. Reading is a powerful tool that has the ability to change our lives. Finally, I sincerely hope and believe that all children can fulfill their learning potential through reading.
