In 2011 I graduated at Newcastle University with a degree in sociology. I had always been very interested in societies and cultures and it was during these studies that I developed a strong interest in teaching. Following my studies at Newcastle, I completed a PGSE, with French Specialism, at Cumbria University, Lancaster.
I have taught Year 6 for most of my teaching career, and have been French Coordinator for the last two years. I have had a desire to teach in Asia for a long time and BSG particularly stood out as being a very good opportunity.
I have always been an active person who loves exploring. Travelling and experiencing, to me, is wonderful and it is something that I pursue at every opportunity. I have been fortunate enough to visit a range of countries, both in Europe, Africa and Asia. I particularly enjoy canoeing and camping. My most recent canoe trip was in England, for my honeymoon! A lot of the travelling I have done has been with my husband. When I’m not out and about, I love reading, and also very much enjoy music.
