After completing my undergraduate in Third World Development & International Relations, I decided to commence teacher training where I gained my PGCE from Leicester University. I spent my first two years of teaching in Nottinghamshire, England, where I was able to build the foundations of the teacher I wanted to be. I then went on to Panama where I have spent the last two years learning and growing as an educator. I have held P.E coordination and more recently, whole school Literacy coordination which have given me both insight and experience into curriculum development and school leadership.
Accepting a position at The British School of Guangzhou was an exceptionally easy decision due to the school's core values and principles that I personally identify with in my own outlook and teaching.
I am an active person who loves travelling, sports, the great outdoors and experiencing new and wonderful cultures. Living in Panama allowed me to travel to wonderful places around Central and South America and one of my greatest achievements was hiking the Inca Trail, Peru. I am a keen sportsman and especially love to play football and tennis.
