I have been teaching in China for over 10 years, have a degree in mathematics and music, and have extensive experience working which children. After spending time teaching Secondary maths in BSG, I am more aware of the requirements of a successful GCSE candidate.
With BSG implementing the new mastery-based English curriculum this year, it is also an excellent opportunity to focus on the conceptual foundations of mathematics, which will enable students to perform excellently in future maths-based situations. This is far more beneficial for the learner than just learning the method of how to answer the questions.
I moved to Guangzhou with my wife and daughter two years ago, and spend most of my free time with them as well as visiting friends. I also enjoy sports and can be seen in the early hours of the morning running many kilometres in preparation for marathons, or cycling for several hours in preparation for another crazy cycling expedition.
