I have been teaching in China for over 12 years, have a degree in mathematics and music, and have extensive experience working which students of all ages. I very much enjoy preparing students for the modern-day requirements of mathematical fluency and understanding, be it for daily life mathematics in key-stage 3, or the challenges of A-level in preparation for university.
With BSG implementing the new mastery-based English curriculum this year, it is also an excellent opportunity to focus on the conceptual foundations of mathematics, which will enable students to perform excellently in future maths-based situations. This is far more beneficial for the learner than just learning the method of how to answer the questions.
I moved to Guangzhou with my wife and daughter four years ago, and spend most of my free time with them as well as visiting friends. I also enjoy sports and can be seen in the early hours of the morning cycling along the empty streets of Guangzhou.
