Having completed my PGCE in 2009, my first teaching position was at Marden High School in the north-east of England, where I was able to develop my practice and work with a fantastic group of teachers and students. During my time there, I became Assistant Curriculum Leader and oversaw continuous improvement in results leading to the best GCSE results ever recorded in North Tyneside. Following this spell, I worked as KS3 Curriculum Leader at a challenging school in Northumberland, located in one of the most deprived areas of the country.
In 2014, me and my wife made the decision to move abroad with our baby son to encounter and embrace new experiences; BSG presented a fantastic challenge, and so during the Christmas holidays in 2014, we packed up our house and made the big move to Guangzhou. In my spare time, my main passions are travelling, music and football, and I am currently enjoying exploring our new home city with my family.
