Staff Profile: Mr. P. Kilgallon

Mr. P. Kilgallon

French / Spanish Teacher & Windsor House Tutor

Before joining NAIS, Philip worked for three years in Nord Anglia’s Regents International School, Thailand as a Spanish and French Teacher and the Head of Year 9. He was a teacher for six years in England before that, teaching in Ormiston Bolingbroke Academy in Runcorn, and Fairfield High School in Widnes. He obtained a PGCE from John Moore’s University in Modern Foreign Languages, a BA degree from the University of Liverpool in Spanish and Music, and has recently received an MA in Education and Leadership from the University of Chester.

As a Head of Year, a form tutor, and a teacher from Year 3 up to Year 13, I have experience throughout schools in England, and internationally.

I have organised trips to Vietnam, Germany, Poland, Spain and the USA. I have run after-school clubs such as; football, Spanish, and one in which we visited an orphanage one day a week.

I always participate in House Competitions such as; theatre sports, dodgeball, sports day, among many others.

I would like to think my students would say I was energetic, supportive, a good teacher, and above all a positive influence on them.

I am a huge football fan being from Liverpool, so I obviously support Everton. I love water-based and sky-based activities; such as bungee jumping, sky-diving, snorkeling and diving. I also love music festivals and have been to many in; England, Spain, Holland, Hungary, Serbia, and Thailand. I recently visited Hong Kong and absolutely loved it.
