Staff Profile: Miss E. Grundy

Miss E. Grundy

Primary Class Teacher, 5C

Miss Grundy studied Philosophy and Psychology at Oxford Brookes University, and completed her Postgraduate in Education at the University of Cumbria. Since graduating, she has worked in both Year 3 and 4 in the UK and for the past two years, has been working in Year 4 and Year 6 in Hong Kong.

Miss Grundy has previously been the Literacy coordinator for Key Stage 1 and 2 and earlier in her career, worked as both music and computing coordinator. Prior to teaching, Miss Grundy worked in a special needs school and was a 1-1 teacher in her free time for children with autism.

I am an incredibly passionate teacher and pride myself on planning and delivering high quality lessons which are exciting and innovative, allowing the children to discover a love of learning and become “independent and creative thinkers”. I believe that when children feel valued their confidence grows.  I have worked with children with a range of needs, which include: English as an additional language (EAL), special needs and children from culturally diverse backgrounds.

I have been living in Hong Kong, and I love playing netball, hiking at the weekend and exploring hidden parts of Hong Kong.
