Mr. A. Cross

Key Stage 3 Co-ordinator and Geography Teacher

Adam has a BA(Hons) in Economics and Geography and a PGCE in Secondary Geography from Lancaster University.

After completing my degree, I began pursuing a career that linked both travel and working with young people. I spent a large part of 2010 in the Soweto township of South Africa working with orphaned children before returning to Lancaster to gain my teaching qualification. Whilst training I spent time in a range of schools teaching pupils from KS2 through to A-Level. Upon qualifying I taught Geography for 3 years in a large 11-16 school in Greater Manchester. Here I taught GCSE Geography achieving stand out results. I also taught KS3 Geography, History, Religious and Physical Education whilst holding the position Head of Geography and later Assistant Head of Humanities.

In my spare time I love to take part in a range of sporting activities, notably football and running. I also like nothing better than spending a weekend exploring one of Hong Kong’s multitude of hiking trails and finishing of the day at the beach.
