Staff Profile: Mr. R. Millington

Mr. R. Millington

Mathematics Teacher

Mr. Millington holds a Bachelor of Education with Honours degree from the Manchester Metropolitan University. He has spent the past fifteen years teaching and managing schools in Asia with spells in the Middle East. Prior to teaching he was an Air Traffic Controller and specialised in Mathematics on his Degree course.

My background in Air Traffic Control brings an array of practical aspects into my classroom. I have taught children from Year 3 to Year 13 at all levels.

Having held some senior posts in the last few international schools I have worked for, I am looking forward to getting back to the most important position anyone can hold, that is a Teacher.

My classroom is usually one filled with questions, challenges and practical implications for the mathematics involved. Student involvement is essential coupled with the realisation that success usually only comes about after learning from mistakes along the way.

I love the Asian culture and am always keen to explore new cities and customs. I can’t wait to meet the students at NAIS!
